ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Eric Finkelstein
Eric joined Lung Bioengineering 4 years ago as an EVLP Specialist and completed training in Silver Spring and Toronto General. He is a Paramedic and worked 10 years in EMS in various agencies providing ground and critical care flight transportation across the United States before specializing in organ donation and transplantation and has had a 8+ year career in organ donation and transplantation. He has completed his MBA in Healthcare Managment from Touro University. Prior to his career in medicine, he served in the US Navy onboard submarines as a Nuclear Engineering Laboratory Technician.
Dr. Zachary Kon
Zachary Kon is a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon, specializing in advanced heart and lung failure. He has launched several de novo lung transplant programs and held surgical transplant directorships at several institutions. Dr. Kon has also made numerous academic and innovative contributions to the field of thoracic transplantation. In attempt to focus on improving inefficiencies and wastefulness associated with the current state of organ procurement, he co-founded ProCure On-Demand in an effort to reengineer, professionalize and optimize this critical area of the field.
